Well it would seem like everything has changed again! For those of you who are at home, I am just putting a few things on the blog that you can do at home today. Have fun and let me know how you get on!

Phonics
Please watch the online phonics lesson.
Emma is teaching us how the letter y at the end of a word can make the ‘ee’ sound as in silly, party, mummy, daddy, etc. Have a watch here
You might like to make up a silly sentence with some words ending in the y sound or start with one word and generate a rhyming list or real and nonsense words eg Silly, billy, chilly…
Maths
Yesterday we started looking at the numbers 11-20. At home today could you please watch the video below. There is also a worksheet (in the blue link below the video – click on down load) you could try and complete too. If you don’t have a printer – don’t worry just talk through with a grown up what your answer would be! Have fun!
HARMONY
This week we are looking at the work of French artist Henri Matisse. He created bold, bright collages using paper cut-outs.
Matisse was inspired by nature and created cut-outs of birds, animals, sea creatures, leaves, flowers and even fruits and vegetables in his collages.
Can you create a collage from some paper cut-outs? You could draw or colour in your shapes on paper or card first. Have a look outside to get some inspiration from nature, like Matisse did!
Thank you for putting this together. Emma enjoyed the art especially.
Take care
Thank you Jane!
It will get more and more interactive over the next week or so!
Thank you for today’s work. Hugo did some great phonics and maths and loved the art!
Thank you Sophie! Lovely to hear to Hugo enjoyed it!
Fabulous activities – thank you – Esme is really enjoying herself!
So glad you’re enjoying them, thanks for letting me know.
