Tomorrow you will be able to watch our short but brilliant smoothie film that we filmed in Healthy Week! Check the blog after school and it should be there!

What a fantastic trip!
It felt so good to be able to go out on a trip today! The children were brilliant and learnt so much! They are all now buttercup experts thanks to Miles King from People Need Nature. Miles has taken the seeds we collected to dry out and then we will plant them on the Great Field for all to enjoy!
Golden Butterfly!
Apologies that this golden butterfly photo hasn’t gone up until now!
This young lady had a really good go at all our activities during healthy week! She never gives up! Congratulations!
Next half term…
What a great healthy half term we’ve had! This year is whizzing by and before we know it the Summer holidays will be here! Your children have, once again, been super stars and you can be really proud of all their hard work. I think they are ready for a week off and time to enjoy their family and friends.
Next half term we start thinking about our new big question –
“Which is my favourite wildflower and why?”
You will have heard that we have a brilliant trip arranged for the second day back which is a great way to start this half term’s learning. The home learning leaflet has come home in time for the holiday and has some lovely ideas that you may enjoy. Also please do have a look at our new virtual library linked to the new topic, there are some gorgeous books there to explore. I have included screen shots of both in this post, but the actual documents can be found under the menu tabs at the top of the blog.
Healthy week – day 4
Today was a busy day – all the children made their smoothies. I’m not adding any photos as I was busy filming it all! As soon as I have put the film together I will share it with you. The children were brilliant and enjoyed cutting their fruit to add to the noisy blender! Most of the children really enjoyed their smoothies and I was impressed that the ones that weren’t too sure all had a taste!
Healthy week – day three
Today we started the day with outside Wake up Shake up – a huge thank you to Mrs Hollingworth who was an amazing instructor! Later we tried to develop our skipping skills – a great way to keep fit!
A whizz in the kitchen!
Gardening Bank
Don’t forget to visit the Damers Gardening Bank at the front of the school! This young man looks really pleased with the things he chose! What a smashing photo too!
Odd and even numbers
We have been learning about odd and even numbers. This games is great fun and the children asked me to add it to the class blog so that they can play at home too!
