Welcome to Meadow 4!
This week we have been looking closely at flowers and trees and labeling their different parts. I wonder if your child can remember what each part does?
Once you start looking for them you see them everywhere!
Congratulations to this member of Meadow 1 who is always there for all of us!
We’ve been thinking about the impact of litter on wildlife and designed our own posters!
On Friday afternoon the children were thrilled to meet the author of the book Ossiri and the Bala Mengro! This book was one of our core texts last half term and was very popular with the children. He visited each year one class through the magic of Zoom and thoroughly entertained them!
Just look at what one member of Meadow 1 has been up to! Making elder flower cordial, pressing flowers and planting wild flowers!
The children had a fantastic time today and I felt really proud of the way they took part in our sports day. Apologies if there isn’t a photo of your child here today, it was hard to capture everyone as I was moving around the different bases with one group of children. Don’t worry though the amazing Miss Barnes was snapping away and more photos will be available soon for you to look at.
Yesterday we enjoyed exploring the school grounds to see how many different colours we could see in nature.
Look at this gorgeous home learning sent in by three of the children in Meadow 1. Don’t forget to email photos to year1@damers.dorset.sch.uk
To help us learn what plants need to grow we planted some bean seeds in school.
